About Me

My favorite colors are yellow and blue (especially turquoise).

My favorite flowers are lilacs, yellow roses and sunflowers.

I was raised in the flat, desert of west Texas and southeast New Mexico. I miss it.

I prefer mountains to beaches. I collect rocks, figurines of horses, paintings, office supplies, and quotes. I treasure time with my granddaughters.

I like crossword puzzles.

I dream of travel especially to Europe. I have visited Scotland twice and would live there if I could.

I wish I had listened to my grandfather McGregor more when I was young.

About My Writing

Everything I write is family driven. The conflicts often have psychological components, and the settings are wild and beautiful.

My first book, Dianne's Destiny, was originally part of The Wild Rose Press's "Scrimshaw Doll" series. It is now independently published through The Open Rood Books, LLC.

Book 1, of The Journey Series Rebecca’s Journey, begins on the Oregon Trail in 1845 and is available from The Wild Rose Press.

A companion novella, Winter at Journey’s End, is available from The Open Rood Books, LLC.

Book 2 is titled Katie’s Journey.

Book 3 will be about Aaron Smith from Rebecca’s Journey.
