About Me

I am a retired nurse (due to a disability, not because I wanted to retire). I spent my nursing career working in women’s and newborn health. I wore every cap from staff nurse to manager to educator to bereavement counselor. I am married, have two sons and two of the cutest granddaughters on the planet. I love horses to distraction and obsession. At the age of 65, I finally became the owner of a mini-horse named Flynn. Unfortunately, I couldn’t take proper care of him and he joined a new home.

I am a member of the Central Region Oklahoma Writers (CROW), the Oklahoma
Romance Writer’s Guild (OKRWG), and the Oklahoma Writers Federation, Inc. (OWFI)

My favorite colors are yellow and blue (especially turquoise).
My favorite flowers are lilacs, yellow roses and sunflowers
I was raised in the flat, desert of west Texas and southeast New Mexico. I miss it.

I prefer mountains to beaches.
I collect rocks, figurines of horses, paintings, office supplies, and quotes.
I treasure time with my granddaughters.
I like crossword puzzles.
I dream of travel especially to Europe. I have visited Scotland and would live there if I
could. My McGregor family came over in the 1700’s and settled in Tennessee. I wish I had
listened to my grandfather more when I was young.

More About My Writing

Everything I write is family driven. The conflicts often have psychological components and the settings are wild and beautiful.

I’m currently working on an historical series that begins on the Oregon Trail in 1845. Book 1, Journey of Honor will be available by the end of the year.
